I looked around the forums, and saw what looked like related discussions, but nothing that quite answers my question, so here goes:

I own a FireFace 400 device, which has been working fine with my 2008 Mac.

I am thinking of buying one of the new MacBook Pros.  I notice that they use the new(?) Firewire 800 port. 

This port looks like a different cable/plug is used than the FF400 uses:

Am I wrong and they are the same, hardware-wise?  Otherwise, is there a solution to this issue?  Either way, should I expect a lot of issues?
