Topic: DIGICheck stopped working: OSX 10.6.8 setup: HDSPe + Multiface 1

Hello support,
I cannot get DIGICheck to work anymore (gulp!)
After swapping computer (crashed graphics card)
wich has the exact same CPU, but now with OSX 10.6.8...?

I have actually used My new MacBook at one time before 10.6.8
update ( I was on 1.6.2/4?) and it all worked 100% (hdspe + Multiface 1 + DIGICheck)

(This weekend I've tried every possible combination of hdspe drivers
in combination with different revisions of Totalmix / DIGICheck's)
I've tried getting up to date with hdspe Flash versions (2.21 & 2.25)

I end up being stuck with only this combination working:

using hdspe driver revison:  1.73 and
Hammerfall DSP mixer revision: 1.73 (2008)
BUT Never am I allowed to use DIGICheck.

DIGICheck (after boot) either says:
" Opening audio device: Invalid device selected or no device available."'

or as I go into Audio Device Select dialogue:
"RME device Fireface 400"

I've used this setup before, all three working in harmony
100%, with the exception you can see below:

CPU:
BEFORE: Intel MacBook PRO 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (4Gb memory)
BEFORE: OSX 10.5.8
H/W:
BEFORE: hdspe Flash update 2.21 ( = Rev 18 for HDSPe PCI)
BEFORE: DIGICheck 0.6.1  (2209)
BEFORE: HDSPE MIXER V2.72 (2010 edition)
BEFORE: HDSPe PCIe/Expresscard  Revision: 18

CPU:
NOW:  Intel MacBook PRO 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (4Gb memory)
NOW: OSX 10.6.8
H/W:
NOW: hdspe Flash update 2.21 ( = Rev 18 for HDSPe PCI)
NOW: alternative try; hdspe Flash update 2.25 ( = Rev 20 for HDSPe PCI)

NOW: DIGICheck 0.6.1     (2009)
NOW: HDSPE MIXER V2.72 (2010 edition)

DIGICheck is the moste serious and reliable metering around
because it's unique way of TRUE metering.. I really need it up and running.
I have years of screendumps form multichannel data that I use for
comparisons in analogue measuring.  I slimply cannot use anything else...
please help me, I am in no need to run the latest versions, I am fine with rev. 1.73
but what is stopping the DIGICheck from being in operation with my setup?

Triviva:
This has been the setup of my dreams for 4 years now.
I teach at times in a school, and the setup is so simple to use & 100% fool proof.

I use a "Multiface 1"  because it has a hardware that suits
my needs 100%. If a upgrade to "Multiface 2" is necessary
I can live with that.. But I  preferred just tweeking the software.

Thank you for any assistance, any solving answer.
I hope I got the necessary data right for you to make any sence of it.

/Fredrik

Did I overlook something in your post or did you never try a current DIGICheck and driver (from 2012)?

Hello MC, Thank you for your reply.

The anser to your question is:

First I tried going as "up to date" as possible with the driver + Mixer + Flash + DIGICheck..
( Trying DIGICheck 0.663, (from 2013)  )

and  then deleted all hdspe driver content + Totalmix and went down the chronological order of hdspe / DIGICheck list.

I've tried a lot with:  DIGICheck 0.661 is from 2012 I guess?
That's the "oldest" one I can find and try out here...

Then all combos of hdspe driver package : 3.04 -- 3.03 -- 2.72--  2.67 -- 1.73
Also I did a flash update  2.21  and 2.25 then down again to 2.21
The Computer can't find my hardware unless I go down to 1.73
earlier I have been successful w. hdspe 2.67 (as I remember it)  + DIGICheck from 2012.

Does this clarify anything, or should I try a different version of DIGICheck (apart form the ones I have available) ?
/ Regards, Fredrik
