Topic: Multiface option not showing on apple osx's sound preferences or logic

I installed a Hdspe pci-e card with the Multiface II as instructed in a 12 core apple mac pro running osx 10.7.5.
Installed hdspe driver 3.0.4.
The card is detected in the rme settings but not connected.
In the sound options in osx preferences and logic pro 9.1, card is not recognized/ showing.

Additionally, the host led in the Multiface II shows red.

Please help. I need to get this up and running asap for a group of students.

No. We're all in Frankfurt. fryingpan

Have you tried another FW cable? Have you tested this with external power supply for the MF?

Thank you for your reply. I've swapped firewire cables and tried connecting the card to the different slots of the mac pro. No luck. Computer not seeing the card.

Will try with the external power supply.

Why is the power adapter needed when its clearly stated that the multiface II draws enough power from the pcie-firewire??
