Topic: Madiface 64 channel flag error
Hi there. I've got a HDSPe Madi slaved to a Madiface master. The Madiface is of course on a laptop. If the laptop resumes from hibernation, and the Madiface is set to output 64 ch mode, once resume from hibernation is complete, the following is observed:
The Madiface dialog reports the correct sample rate (in this case 48Khz), but the HDSPe slave is reporting 32Khz. This only happens in 64 ch mode (not 56) and only on resume from hibernate (not sleep).
Additionally, whilst the laptop is in the process of resuming from hibernation, the HDSPe slave dialog is reporting 48k (correct) but in 56 ch mode.
If I make connections in the reverse, the issue doesn't happen, ie, the HDSPe Madi can resume from hibernation, and the slaved Madiface see's the correct sample rate in 64 ch mode.
I haven't tested at any other sample rates.
Here is a screenshot, Madiface master on the left, HDSPe Madi slave on the right.
I know the obvious answer is "don't use hibernation in 64 ch mode" but here I am reporting it.
