Topic: Fireface 800, all channels are humming, buzzing and making noise

My Fireface 800 has started to make a loud noise of a high pitched sound, buzzing and stutter-humming on all channels. This sound is louder than everything else. Even with everything unplugged (except powering), this noise is coming out when listening through headphones in the headphone jack (the noise volume depends on the headphone volume pot). Also, with everything unplugged, it is actually possible to hear this noise when listening to every individual output channel on the back using headphones.

The unit worked perfectly, and from one hour to another this noise just appeared. Is this a known problem? What could have happened to my unit?

Have you checked your sync settings?

Sounds like a failure of the internal PSU, please contact your local distributor to arrange bench tests and repairs as required.
