Topic: madiface USB question
I'm looking for a solution that will work with my 3 computers, a stationary WINXP machine and two macbook pros, one late 2008 unibody with express card and a 2011 unibody with thunderbolt. Till recently I used HDSP DIGIFACE with PCI / express card and converters connected optically.
Not long ago I found a very convenient solution that looked like it will solve all the problems, the Antelope Orion32 (a 32 analog in + 32 analog out converter with USB and MADI). Unfortunately this device works on USB flawlessly only on MACOSX 10.8.2 and on WIN 7 and 8. No WINXP asio driver is provided and also the MACOSX 10.6 driver is problematic at the moment. So the obvious choice is to use the Orion as an AD and DA converter to MADI and use a RME Madiface USB interface. I'm very attracted to this solution because I like RME stability and the Totalmix software.
I have a very stable audio and midi computer on WINXP and have no intention to upgrade to WIN 7/8 so the problem is that the ORION would not work connected directly to USB.
My question is, will you provide to the MADIFACE USB drivers for WINXP and for MACOSX 10.6 or only for the latest OS?
Thank you
