Topic: Hammerfall DSP Multiface I Windows 8

I have Hammerfall DSP Multiface and Windows 8, I have stability problems, hear small noises while playing the music.

In Windows 7, in Device Manager the controller you selected host IEEE1394 legacy, but in Windows 8 does not exist this.

I have version driver 3.35

The HDSP card is not a Firewire card...

Re: Hammerfall DSP Multiface I Windows 8

My problem is no latency.

My problem is IEE1394 legacy.

Re: Hammerfall DSP Multiface I Windows 8

You do not need IEEE1394 legacy because the HDSP/e interface card for your Multiface is not a Firewire card...

Re: Hammerfall DSP Multiface I Windows 8

What do you mean?

My Hammerfall DSP Multiface card is connected to the PC by a PCI FireWire card

Re: Hammerfall DSP Multiface I Windows 8

The MF is not a Firewire device and only connects to RME HDSP interface cards like this one:
http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_hds … erface.php (or the PCI version),
which use Firewire cable, but are not Firewire cards and hence do not use any IEEE 1394 drivers, legacy or otherwise.

The reasons for your problems must be elsewhere, i.e. general performance issues.
