Topic: HDSPe Installer 3.04

Hello RME,

I am failing to get Madiface working on a Mac Mini Server 10.8.3 using an EchoExpress adapter. After some research I noticed, that the installer 3.04 only places

/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/HDSP MADI MIDI.plugin
/System/Library/Extensions/HDSP MADI.kext

to the harddrive, but not

/Applications/Hammerfall DSP Mixer
/Applications/Hammerfall DSP Settings

Any fixes or workarounds?

Repair disk permissions for Macintosh HD (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) then run the downloaded installer package again.

Sometimes it's usefull to take a look into the driver installation protocoll. There I discovered plenty of "permission denied" messages, though the installation software allways reported successful installation. Not sure, if it is something RME can fix, but a simple alert by the installation software would have saved me a couple of desperate troubleshooting hours... My Mac had a basic problem with rights management, that could only be fixed by reinstalling the system.
