Topic: What is needed for loopback?

Hello, I have just received my AES32 PCI. Yet, I didn't have any cable.
I have tested the loopback and I can't make it to work. Do I need the BOB-32 breakout box to make it to work?

Re: What is needed for loopback?

What exactly did not work as expexted? No cable is required.

Re: What is needed for loopback?

To understand loopback might require to read the mnanual. The loopbacked signal will not show up in the mixer, but in the recording software. Easy to check with DIGICheck Input level meters via ASIO.

Re: What is needed for loopback?

Yes, I have read the manual. What I try to do, is what is asked in this post http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6865

Playback (ASIO) 1+2 -> In 1+2 -> Plogue Bidule (ASIO) -> Out 9+8
Using DigiCheck, I can see that the sound from Playback 1+2 is correctly sent to In 1+2, but in Bidule there is nothing at input.

The loopbacked signal will not show up in the mixer

Thanks, I didn't know.

Re: What is needed for loopback?

Have you set Digicheck to show ASIO or Hardware Level input?
Can you see the incoming signal in other software, e.g. Reaper?

Re: What is needed for loopback?

Yep, sorry, it works in Live. So, it must be a Bidule problem sad

But, can you explain what was the meaning of

this routing involves the mixer, which is in the breakout box

in the thread I have linked above?
