Is RME willing to share, publish or license the specs for the midi over madi protocol?

You take the userbit of channel 56, which would at 48000 samples/s provide you with a data rate of 48kbit/s. MIDI has 31.25kbit/s, so it fits nicely.

would RME be willing to share the entire protocol, so that a competitor can be compatible with your midi implementation?
