Topic: HDSP/PCMCIA on Win8/64bit USB-Ports blocked

Hi,

I tried using my old HDSP/PCMCIA-Card with Multiface1 under Windows8/64.

With the latest Driver from http://www.rme-audio.de/old/download/treiber.htm#HDSP
Everything worked fine!!

But ... as soon as the driver is installed, usb-devices are not recognized anymore.

Has anyone made the same experience or is there a workaround?

Definitely not a known issue... Please provide more details about the system etc.

... you guys are fast!

Its a Dell Lattitude E5400 Laptop with Windows 8 pro 64 running. Until now there is no official hardware driver support from Dell for Windows 8/64 but I gave it a try and it worked so far.

The  installed wdm driver version is 3.02
I installed it manually from the device Manager. As soon as installation is finished, my external usb-harddrive is not recognized anymore.

When I uninstall the WDM Driver through 'system control', the harddrive (or some other usb-device) is recognized again.

Please install the latest driver from our website. Note: we have 2013 now, not 2007.

You're right, somehow I thought old hardware needs old drivers.

But nevertheless even with wdm driver version 3.36 and cardbus hardware revision 17/55
usb devices still are not recognized
