Topic: No ADAT Opto light from my Multiface II

Sorry to be numbskull but I recently bought a Multiface II for RAYDAT card but have had no joy in getting it to work. The unit does not generate an Opto light from the ADAT out could this be a power problem as I am powering it from the FireWire on my desktop. Any help would be well appreciated.

The Multiface is no firewire device! It needs a hdsp pci or pcie card to work, It won´t work as a standalone ad/da converter.

Yes. And you may have broken your multiface as well!

You will need either the HDSP or the HDSPe card.

Make sure you only plug the multiface into the correct RME card.

Hope it isn't broken!!!!
