Topic: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

Hi m8s
I need your help ASAP!!!
Yesterday I bought a HDSPe AES/EBU and made all the installations, upgrades, etc. I need your help on how to setup my system and DAW (PT HD 10,3,5)
My card is detected by Windows but I couldn`t make it sound yet. Maybe is a wire problem?
I`m using D-25 generics wires (????). Any kind of help will be great!!!!
Regards

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

Does the HDSP mixer show signals during playback? What is the card connected to? What is the cable pinout? Have you checked whether the 800 is the same? Does it show incoming sync or so?

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

Hi Daniel

-Does the HDSP mixer show signals during playback? Yes, but not on the channel assigned. I only hear digital clips.
-What is the card connected to? From HDSPe AES to Rosetta's AES DB-25 pins.
-What is the cable pinout? No idea, it's a LPT cable buyed at a computer store.
-Does it show incoming sync or so? Some sets on the Rosetta shows it's locked, but not sure...
Maybe I need to buy those mogami db25 crossover cables?

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

An LPT cable certainly won't work... Please get a correctly assigned AES/EBU multipin cable...

And how it should be?
THANX Daniel

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

The HDSPe AES uses Tascam pinout - as for the Rosetta, please check the manual or contact Apogee...

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

As I read in a forum Apogee Rosetta 800 is Yamaha Pinout ...so...?
Maybe I just need something like this:
http://www.alva-audio.de/en_products.ph … converter.
A very rare adapter to find in my country (Argentina)

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

If the Rosetta uses Yamaha pinout, you will either need an adapter, adapter cable, or breakout cables with XLR for both units and connect XLR to XLR.

Great, I´ll take a look.
Thanx Dan!!!

Re: HDSPe AES & Apogee Rosetta 800 on Windows 7 64bits

Finally I make it work, everything seems smoothly!!! Just 1 more question (or maybe more)...
How should I setup RME and Rosettas to work at 192 khz?
Do I need to connect WC wires? How?
