Topic: Help. Can't see Spdif Out signal on my AIO card/Cubase/Total mix

Hi

In Cubase 6.5 Vst Connections I create a Stereo Out Bus assigned to spdif L/R just as I do for the other kinds of I/O.

In the track I then select rout to Spdif Out bus just as I would with all other.

However upon playback there appears to be no signal present .
The Cubase meters for the track play back as normal. I do not see however in TotalMix any levels bouncing, as I do for my analogue outs.

I also don't seem to get signal at the outboard converters.

I have tried connecting the Spdif Out RCA to both a Tascam DR680 recorder and a Behringer Ultramatch DA/AD.

The funny thing is, when both are set as slaves, they do show sample changes if I change sample rates in DSP dislogue.

So I'm stuck, as far as I can tell somehow Total Mix seems to indicate there is no output signal?
I've checked the Device Setup in Cubase and it gives all outputs as Active and Visible.
Same in Windows Sound devices.

Doing the opposite, ie connecting to the SPDIF Input is no problem I get signal inside Cubase.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Win7 64bit

Thanks

Reset the ins/outs in Cubase. Even if they look ok they might be wrong, and then the routing via F4 will fail.

Thanks for fast reply. I'll try that - but how do you reset the Cubade vst connections? Do you mean just delete all busses and create them anew again?

No. In the inputs/outputs list (where you configure the audio hardware/ASIO) is a reset button on the bottom.
