Topic: MBP-Lion - HDSPe 3.04 - unsynced after multiple sleep sessions

I've found an odd behavior with my HDSPe Expresscard with OS X driver 3.04 (with a MF1) on a 2007 MBP, Lion 10.7.5. I regularly sleep this computer rather than shut it down but after a number of sleep cycles there's no sound: Totalmix shows the output channels playing but there's nothing on the output meters. All my cards are synced via Wordclock @ 44.1 kHz from an ADI-8, but when this happens the HDSPe Settings shows SPDIF @ 32kHz (it's usually "No Lock" - there's nothing plugged into the SPDIF jack) and AutoSync shows "AdatSync" @ 64 kHz (it's usually "Word" @ 44.1 kHz).

A reboot and all is normal again. This is a non critical bug, but it is a regularly occurring one. FYI.

Re: MBP-Lion - HDSPe 3.04 - unsynced after multiple sleep sessions

Well, it's been a while and this problem is still happening. Again no show-stopper (other than a reboot).

Is this a known problem with 10.7.x or am I the only person in the world this happens to? Is this fixed running 10.8.x?

Thanks!

Did you try the latest firmware update for the HDSPe ExpressCard?

The 3.04 driver reports the card as "Rev. 20" and running the latest 2.2.7 dspe fut confirms the firmware is up to date. Thanks.

You say reboot. It is not enough to eject the card, wait a few seconds, then insert it again?

Thanks. I'll try that next time it happens and report back.
