I am recently adding a ADI-8 DS to my setup. I want to use it for master clock.

I currently am using all three of the ADAT pairs on the Digiface and clocking it from the Multiface II using the SPDIF out from the Multiface II to the Digiface.

The ADAT ports on the Multiface II are unused.

1. Can I simply select internal clock on the ADI-8 DS, run ADAT out to the Multiface II, change the clock settings on the Multiface to external ADAT and have the clocking still run out the through SPDIF to the Digiface?

2. Or, would it be necessary or better to run Word Clock out of the ADI-8 DS to the other units?

3. Also, the manual I downloaded shows a recessed switch on the back to change the Word Clock input from terminated to unterminated. My unit, presumably older, does not have this switch. Does this mean it is terminated or unterminated?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
