RME User Forum → DIGICheck → DigiCheck will not launch on Win 8.1
Not an urgent problem in any way, but I thought I would make a quick post in case you weren't aware (or in case I'm just wrong).
I updated my kid's laptop to Windows 8.1 x64 and reinstalled RME UCX Driver and DigiCheck trying to get DigiCheck to launch. I also tried launching as administrator.
The same here...
Windows 8.1 x64, RME Multiface PCI.
Is any possibilities to fix it?

Not what I wanted to see, Choodo. I have not had a chance to test DigiCheck 5.6 on Windows 8.1 x64, but I take it you have.

This new version of DigiCheck came out two days before your post. I take it you were on the latest version?
Did you try running it as administrator?
DIGICheck crashes due to ASIO problems on 8.1. We are currently examining that. It should be fixed unitl 8.1 is released, either by us or Microsoft (whoever is at fault).
Thanks for the update MC. I really appreciate it. It was a near miss for me. :-) I use my kid's laptop to make field recordings and I updated her to 8.1. I rarely use it otherwise. I just happened to verify that it worked before taking it out to a gig. I got lucky. It would have been a bummer to discover on site that I couldn't record.
As it was, I just grabbed my real DAW and headed out. Everything went fine.
I love the new changes to DigiCheck btw. I think they're awesome!
Are you using the UCX via USB? You could try this new driver which might work under Windows 8.1:

UCX via USB. With v1.035 ASIO work properly, but DigiCheck still don't.

Hi Just tried the driver above on windows 8.1 (build 9600)
Digicheck opens fine, (5.60) and totalmix & rme settings opens fine.
Just tested a quick 10 channel recording with a babyface & digicheck and working fine!
I'll test with my UFX when it gets back from synthax
We found the problem with Win 8.1. New DIGICheck 5.61 is available for download on our website.

both 5.60 & 5.61 working fine with 8.1 (9600), is there any other changes apart from the fix for the windows preview build?
