Topic: Only 32 in/out MADI Channels visable - Bug with new MADI FX V88_19 ?!

Hi,

since flashing my MADI FX to V 88_19 today, I just get 32 Madi Channels visable within Cubas 7 and Wavelab 8!?

Is this just with my setup or might this be a bug? And no, I didn't tick "Asio 32 Channel Limit" within the FX Settings ;-)

My setup:

MADI FX (+MADI OPTO-X)
Burl B80 (still just working with 44.1 and 96 kHz :-()
RME 6432 (Lynx 16, Hedd 192, UA2192 and 4 Bricasti M7)
Aurora Lynx 16 LT-MADI

Win7 64bit
TotalMix 1.15
Cubase 7 (64bit)
Wavelab 8

Looking forward to your feedback!

Best Regards

Hi Juniton,
Did you get this figured out? I was thinking about updating the firmware on my MADI FX and saw this and now I'm hesitating...

Hi Dean,

Actually, strangley it works now with Cubase 7  but still not with Wavelab 8? I tried a couple of things, but did't find a solution...

I will watch this the next days and see what happens and how reliable it works with Cubase.

Cheers

There is no problem and no change with the new driver/firmware. This looks like a user error somewhere. Or you updated from an older version which had the I/Os differently sorted.

Hello,

I just had a customer call with a similar issue. Channels were normal in the TotalMix FX window, but Sequoia's ASIO panel only showed 32 I/O. We fixed it by toggling (on/off) the "32 channel limit" check box in the HDSPe Settings application.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for this hint! That is indeed the solution for our problem!

By the way, I'm not sure if its just a side effect or actually on purpose, but suddenly my burl b80 syncs perfectly with 48kHz an 88.1kHz now! That would be great news. Can someone else confirm this?

Best Regards

Re: Only 32 in/out MADI Channels visable - Bug with new MADI FX V88_19 ?!

I am curious as well to see if the sync issue with the MADI FX and the B80 has been fixed. I just ordered a Mothership and have been on the fence about which card to get. If the MADI FX is indeed syncing at all rates with the B80, then I know which one will be the winner.

If anyone else has had luck with this, please share!
