Topic: any word on Windows 8.1 performance?

Hey, I'm looking for anyone that has knowledge of using Win 8.1 and large ASIO projects, Cubase any sequencer if you are seeing any trends in performance and latency.

my main rig is windows 7 x64 with HDSP 9652, quad core cpu, 8gb ram, ssd for os & sata 7200rpm 1tb drives for audio..

my mobile rig is a windows 8.1 x64 (build 9600 rtm) dell e5420 core i5, 8gb ram, samsung 256gb ssd, 1tb external e-sata. with RME UFX...
Nuendo 6 is the DAW, wavelab 8 for edits
As a test I have loaded some of my larger projects from the desktop and loaded into the laptop and performance is amazing, although I don't use the mobile for much mixing, I would be more than comfortable with its performance if the desktop rig was out of action.

I find the general performance of 8.1 better than windows 7 (i did previously have windows 7 on the same laptop)
