Can somebody PLEASE give me step by step instructions on how to set up my RME Hammerfall DSP 9652 after installing the drivers. Im talking about what all the settings should be on the computer and what not for it to work because I can clearly see that music is playing but Im not hearing any sound. I desperately need this help from someone, please. Im running Windows XP Service Pack 3
Okay, first simple question.
Do you have any DA converter to hear sounds (via headphones or speakers)?
Without any speakers or headphones, you can't hear sounds.
Sorry if this sounded like too obvious, but I didn't see what you connected to 9652 card in your post.
Thank you for your response , we are running 3 frontier Tangos for our converters through an ASP 8024 console with genelec 1031s and a pair of tannoy DMT 12s powered by a hafler 9505. We have had this system working recently however we decided to try windows 7 and had problems with the drivers we downloaded from the site and after too many problems we decided to go back to a newer version of wwindows xp with service pack 3 instead of service pack 1 which is what we had before. Now that you are aware of what we are working with maybe you will help provide the answer we need. thank you again for you response
Playback with WDM or ASIO? On which channel?
we use fiber optic cables and set it at WDM We set channel one input and output always to ADAT 1 1&2.
You checked with TotalMix that the played back signal is shown in the second and third row on the correct channels? You verified that the first ADAT output is not set to SPDIF mode in the Settings dialog?
I checked those things. The biggest problem here honestly is that iv always had a close friend of mine set this up for me from start to finish. He did the whole process from putting the card in the computer, to installing the drivers and then putting in all of the correct settings. But he is no longer available to do this for me so can you please do me a huge favor and give me step by step instructions on how to do this whole process from start to finish? I desperately need this help. If it will be too much to post on this forum, I can give you my email address to send it to.
