Topic: Madiface Problem

Hi all,
I have an issue with the Madifiace using the Sonnet interface via thunderbolt on a macbook pro i7 2013 model.
The madiface has been working fine however this morning i decided to unplug the thunderbolt and boot the laptop. After doing some work on the macbook (making a Max/Msp patch) i then shut down the macbook and connected the thunderbolt and boot up, however when booting up the computer the madiface led did not come on thus the computer did not connect to the madiface. I have checked that the Sonnet interface is connected in the system profiler and this is confirmed.

This has happened before and it was a case of shutting down and booting up the laptop till the madiface was found (which can't be good for my new machine)

I have also installed the new drivers 3.05 still no joy. This is really annoying because there is no obvious problem and i need this sytem to be reliable!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why my madiface works sometimes and not others, not good i thought RME products were reliable!!!

You will need to be more specific. What gives you the impression that this is an issue of the Madiface or its (well known) reliability? Have you tested the device in a laptop with Expresscard slot, i.e. without adapter?
