Re: Thank YOU !

hi eddy, nice job!

I am doing the same in a month and was wondering if you could help me understand some things...

1. Did you run UFX output gain at 0bd? (this leave 6bd headroom)

2. FOH, was it:  FUX to Powered Speakers? or was there preamp in between?

3. I am doing a show in 150 people club, planning to mix in UFX -> L + R  out -> directly into powered 200 watts speakers,
is that going to work, in your opinion?

Re: Thank YOU !

Hi,
I did a live recording with my Fireface UFX/Octamic XTC config, and recorded directy on harddisk connected to USB on UFX. Exported files to Cubase after. Worked perfectly for 2 guitars, bass and drums blues band.
Live, I used 2 active QSC 10" and one cative QSC 18" sub. Used only TotalMix FX as my mixer. The only thing I missed, was to have an EQ between the UFX and the speakers, to better control feedback areas.

Clean and simple configuration for small gigs. Good luck..

Re: Thank YOU !

Hi Operacat

here my answers:

1. Did you run UFX output gain at 0bd? (this leave 6bd headroom)
-> YEP @ 0 dB

2. FOH, was it:  FUX to Powered Speakers? or was there preamp in between?
-> No preamp and yes directly into Amps and L-Acoustics active PA

3. I am doing a show in 150 people club, planning to mix in UFX -> L + R  out -> directly into powered 200 watts speakers, is that going to work, in your opinion?
-> This will work super! go for it! and have fun! :-)
