Topic: ADI-8 DS Word Clock Question

Pardon my ignorance!

I am using the ADI-8 DS with a PCI DIGIFace and a PCIe Multiface II.

The ADI-8 is master set to internal clock to the MultiFace and the Multiface S/PDIF out Clocks the DIGIFace. I have a device with only ADAT out and Word Clock in I want to connect to the DIGIFace.

I want to send Word Clock from the ADI-8 to this device, which has a termination switch.

If I am using the ADI-8 DS Work Clock out to slave this other device, do I have to terminate the ADI-8 Word Clock input ... or does it matter?

Termination of the ADI-8 DS Word Clock input does not make any difference in this scenario.
