Topic: HDSP 9632 Questions

Hi,

I'm looking for a sound card with folowing features:

  • Auto change output sampling rate according to source (44.1Khz for CD, 48Khz DVD,...)

  • Output simultaneously on digitals and analogs output.

  • Apply differents corrections/filters accroding to the output

The goal is to connect my amplifier with both spdif and analogs, and play the "same" source file on all simultaneously.
The digital part should remain "bitperfect", the first analog will have room correction and second analog have DRC (when watching movies at night)
Then I can switch "on-the-fly" on my amplifier the feature I want.

  • Is it even possible?

  • Should I need the extension board?

  • I'm using XBMC as media player. Is it compatible? (xbmc don't support asio, wasapi or windows mixer only)

How are you going to do the corrections? (Apart from the used outputs?) External analogue EQ and compression?

I was hoping that totalmix can add filters/equalizer between audio channels and output.
But after reading the user manual and downloading totalmix demo, it's not possible.

Maybe VST plugins with console is the way to do?
