Is there any way to get independant groups per window in totalmix?
I bought the madiFx for a couple of reasons. One of the biggest was to enable muscians in the studio to control their own submixes via midi remote. So far this has been a disappointment as asking the users to scroll through 32 channels or more in a live recording set up using a nanokontrol and mix their own drums ect would probably be to much of a headache.
Instead I hoped to either assign midi channels to faders on the fly which so far is not possible. The other option was to assign the first 5 faders of the nanoKontrol to totalmix channels 41 -46 which are the ones not routed to any input in the studio but can still be controlled by simple midi and then assign one of those faders to a group with, eg faders 1- 10 being drums, etc.. That way each user could have a seperate submix and controller easily assigned to 5 faders for the complete mix.
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work as groups are global rather than on a per window basis.
Or am I missing something?
