Topic: ..Buying my first sound card RME with PCIe slot - Help!

Greetings all! smile

Hello, I am a new member of this forum and I want to buy my first RME sound card for my PC that has the following configuration.

Asus P9X79 Pro
XEON E5-2630 V2
32gb DDR 3

I already owned some sound cards (ECHO AUDIOFIRE (firewire), ESI 1010 (PCI), Emu 1212 (PCI) and lately a Native instrument Komplete Audio 6 ..) Sadly, I was not satisfied .... (.. Latency, quality sound unprofessional ...)

Now I want to switch to a RME PCIe slot with an external box that allows me to listen with headphones, (.. preferably with two headphone outputs ... if it exists), as well as the balanced outputs for two active monitors Fostex NX5A

Use only VSTi and an Access Virus Ti2 in my Daw.
(Do not have to register external tools)
I wish I could manage without latency around 70 tracks with many effects.

I was thinking of a Raydat with Multiface II ...( the important thing is that the converters sound good ...  smile


I would be grateful if you could recommend a combination adequate ... Thanks to all.

A Raydat needs a adat converter like for example this one, http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_adi_8_ds_mk3.php
The multiface needs a hdspe card, http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_hds … rface.php.
Seems the multiface is what you want, although it has only one phones. But it has 8 analogue out and you can use them for your speakers and driving a second headphones amp.

Compared to RayDat, the Multiface II with HDSPe card in what would be different?

I have a higher latency?

No the same, they even use the same driver.
The drivers for the hdsp(e) series are No1. I´m a very happy RME user!
