Topic: Turning off (or completely disabling) M-32 DA fan. Bad Idea?

Hello,

I would like to turn off M-32 DA noisy fan permanently, but before doing so, I would like to know, what are possible consequences for doing this? Can M32 operate safely without the fan? Is it better to replace the fan with silent one, instead of removing it completely?
btw... unit is not in warranty anymore, I have it for almost 4 years.
Software solution doesn't work for me (and never did), because fan turns to highest rpm after about 20 minutes of converter just being turned on in relatively cold room.

If you had the noise from the start - we had a few units where the fan blew the air the wrong way, making it much more loud than it shoud be. The air should be blown out from the fan, not stream in there. Please check on your unit.

Is your unit on firmware 2.1?

I will check the fan tomorrow and report back. Unit is on 2.1 firmware.
What is the dimension of the fan, in case I decide to replace it with another one? 40mm?

I just checked the direction of the fan and it's correctly mounted. Air is blowing out from the unit.

Operating the unit without fan will reduce overall lifetime and decrease the SNR.  I am not sure which fan is used there in detail, specs are on its label (5 V etc), mounting holes form a square with 32 mm length on every side.
