Topic: Feature request: 5.1 control room

Hi all,
Just wanted to float the idea of the possibility of having a dedicated 5.1 control room section, as we have for stereo currently.

I am aware of the workarounds by using fader groups, but this has presented another issue. If you have "Do not load Main volume/balance" enabled in preferences, so as to maintain your master out level when switching Snapshots, the faders grouped to the Main, will be offset from the Main when loading new Snapshots.

I would love to see a 5.1 control room option in Totalmix. :-)

Hi!
I second the request. I would really appreciate that too.
Since Pro Tools does not include a monitor control section (and that still wouldn’t be the optimal solution) and good hardware monitor controllers are costly I use "fader groups" and the ARC. Its working but could be much better.

I got stung the other day when I discovered that when you have the preference "Do not load Main Volume/Balance" checked, it still resets the other faders in the group, creating an offset between the "Main" and the remaining grouped faders. Completely dangerous.

I agree. We will try to include the grouped faders with that option.

Hi RME Team,

First of all thanks for great Products and the most stable drivers on the market! smile

Please give us a 5.1 Control Room Section; i know there are many others who need this too. Grouped Faders are nice but not the best and Final Solution in my opinion.
