Topic: Octamic XTC - MADI option?

I recently purchased an Octamic XTC, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I already used it to record several jazz and improv sessions on my iPad, using Auria, and I couldn't be happier with the sound quality and the ease of use. One thing is puzzling me a bit, though. On the back of the device, above the location where the MADI connectors are, it reads MADI [option]. Does this mean that the MADI connection is an add-on that needs to be purchased separately, or am I interpreting this label incorrectly? At this moment I have no other MADI equipment, but I would like to know anyway, since one never knows if this connection might come in handy in the future.

Many thanks in advance for your replies!

Cheers,
Vincent

Re: Octamic XTC - MADI option?

In the project phase the MADI ports were planned to be added as option, similar to other devices of ours. We later changed the design to have it integrated, and overlooked the still existing 'Option' on the back smile
