Topic: RME Multiface 2 with HDSP PCI Card vs PCI Express Card

I currently own a Multiface 2 with the PCI Card. I am looking at upgrading to the PCI Express Card.
I primarily use the setup for composing in Cubase with a lot of VST Instruments. There is no live inputs except one mic for vocals.
If I upgrade to the PCI Express Card will I find any improvement in performance/latency etc especially since I use a lot of VST

I think you mean a PCIe for in a desktop? Not express card for a laptop. But in both cases the answer is no, unless the PCI slots in your current setup have issues. PCIe has a higher bandwidth, but since the PCI bandwidth is enough for the multiface there is no difference. What are your system specs?
