Hi,

my old Multiface is still working like a charm (after 12 Years now!) and i would like to migrate to a faster Computer.
Currently it's connected via the Cardbus (PCMCIA) Card which works via an PCMCIA to PCI adapter. Based on a q6600 Processor and an Asus p5kc Motherboard, this works flawless.

Ideally i would like to build a system on a i7 4470k processor on a motherboard which is up par for an audio daw.
Actually all good 1150 Socket boards with z87 won't supply native PCI bus, so my guess is that the performance with cardbus-->pcmcia to PCI adapter-->bridged pci port is suffering....anyone has some real life experience??

are there any PCMCIA(cardbus) to PCIe adapters out there wich will work with the MFI ??

another solution would be to buy an used RME PCIe Card to connect the mulitiface with - but with the actual prices it would be an uneconomic investment to just keep the MFI alive.....

any ideas and/or experience with this update routeß
