Topic: HDSPe MADI FX & HDSPe AES together if...?

I own an RME HDSPe MADI FX and I have some questions about adding an HDSPe AES.
As I understand it, because these cards use different drivers, they can not be used together in one DAW program. However...

1. Can they be run separately in different instantiations of Sequoia 12 (or one Cubase 7 and one Sequoia 12) simultaneously in the same PC?

Example: Anologue mixing:  Cubase 7-->MADI FX-->SSL converters-->analogue mixing-->CraneSong converter-->HDSPe AES-->Sequoia 12.

2. If this is possible, do the i/o cards still need to be clocked together, or will the drivers operate completely separately as if in different PCs? i.e. Each DAW clock is separated by analog processing, thus a different clock could be established on the way back in through different hardware and software unless there is some internal driver conflict.

3. Are 2 ASIO drivers possible in Win 7 or would I need to set one DAW program to ASIO and the other to MME?

4. IF I can't run both cards at all, do I need to competely restart to load the correct driver. i.e. when tracking, I need to switch back and forth between madi and multiple AES inputs.

1. Yes.

2. It might improve system performance when both are synced, but basically in your case it will work without.

3. No problem.
