Any news on this new range announced last year?
Do you have an estimate as to when they will be available?
Many thanks
Hi
Now that ADAT/AES/Routers/Converters are in the shops I realized that the more affordable Converters have the MADI TP ports only (Is that right?)...I own a Madiface XT...is there an easy way (that is a cheap way) to connect the MADI converters to Madiface?
thanks

The Converters are extensions for the Routers, they are not intended to be run stand-alone.

What about the Digico "MADI over twisted pair"? Could it be converted to coax/bnc with a passive adaptor?
No, it uses a different data format.
It could be that DiGiCo uses the same data format as we do (56Ch/48k or 64Ch/44.1k run over an ethernet PHY), however I assume that they use a different pin-out (ie. that they transport MADI on different wires than we do).
If DiGiCo states that they intend to be compliant to the AES10 standard extension (work in progress), we should evaluate that further.

Please evaluate if they use the same data format, it would be very convenient to be able to route directly to/from the TP ports on the Digico SD9/11 and D-rack.
Are there any news on compatibility of Digico-MADI via CAT?
Not at this time. Feel free to subscribe to this thread, I will post any update concerning this when available.
