Topic: clicks during playback

Hi guys,

I have purchased a MADI FX recently and just experienced something strange: during simple audio playback either through Cubase 7.5 or Wavelab 8 I get a lot of clicks. I am not sure if it is the RME card, the driver, the harddrive or something else.... I just cannot work like this so any ideas are highly appreciated. I am going to run a hardware-test to see if everything works ok.

I am using windows 7 ultimate, an intel i7 4770k processor, 16 GB of RAM, one Kingston SSD for the system and a Barracuda I think (2TB) for my audio files. The buffer size in Cubase is set to >4k and even in simple playback from wavelab I get those damn clicks.

My driver is from 19 May 2014 (Version 1.20), TotalMix FX 1.01

Using BNC sync we never get things like that.

So you suggest I should use a BNC sync? Like a loop from BNC out to in?
