Topic: How save is it to connect monitors to AES out directly

I've got a MADI FX and a pair op K&H o 300D's which i would like to connect to the AES out, but I'm worried about the PC booting up with loud pop noises or the mixer suddenly being on full unity gain, or whatever other nightmare scenarios that might happen. Is the MADI FX fool proof in this scenario, i.e. can I save a mixer setup in it's hardware and is the unit fully muted until PC booting completed? Who is using such a scenario?

The AES output is digital - there is no popping or the like... I assume you are referring to an AES input on the speakers or the controller as wel...
