Topic: [Solved] 2x Multiface sync (?) issue

I have just updated to the 4.0 drivers and get the following issue:

In Ableton live the sound gets crackling after some time until it is totally off. When i open the preferences and change the sample rate everything will be back to normal for a minute until it happens again.

My first Mulitface is the master. The Wordclock out of it is connected to the second Multifaces WC in and it's WC ou to the in of a Tascam VC-8.

Both PCIe cards are flashed to version 20.

Any Ideas?

The exact same setup worked with an older driver? And does the Settingsdialog fpr the second unit say WC Sync?

The Setup worked fine with the 3.08x driver. In the settings dialog the WC sync switches from writing "lock" to "sync". The green light on the MF is green for 1 sec., then blinks and switches to staying green for a second again. I already checked the cables, but no luck. Also the setup was working before...

So there is the obvious reason/problem. Please provide screenshots from both card's Settings dialogs so we can see the current settings.

Since the Tascam VC-8 is synced over ADAT as well, the Sync/Lock switching seems to be normal. Also i still get the error, when the VC-8 is not connected at all.

Looks like i found the error by looking at my pictures, the second MF needs to have selected Word as a clock source...

I'll keep checking & keep you posted.

Update: WC light on the second MF is now stable green. Thanks Matthias!

Strange though that the driver update overwrote the DSP settings, isn't it?
