Topic: electric guitar to an HDSPe AIO

Hi
I'm trying to connect my e.g to my balanced breakout cable trough POD HD500.
I connect my guitar to the POD (not using amps or FXs)and from the 1/4 inch it goes to the balanced breakout cable.
Questions:
1. is it optimal or should I connect the pod to the card from the XLR (balanced)
2.I'm getting "thin" sound, Do I need a DI instead the POD? what would give me the best results?

Hello! For better performance and operations with same level between AIO and POD you should connect POD's balanced (XLR) outputs to AIO's balanced inputs. You don't need any DI box because both units have a compatible balanced connectors. For me, I like to do the simplest hardware chains. Hope it helps.
