Topic: Rotary knob won't switch between Level and Channel

hi there,  The rotary knob on my Fireface 400 is stuck on "Level" and controlling the level of mic input 2.  When i push it in to switch to the channel selector, nothing changes on the display, and the green LED is still lit under "LEV".  I can't seem to switch back and forth between Channel and Level on the rotary at all.  This was not a problem when i first got the Fireface, but only recently (in the last month). Today I downloaded and installed all the latest updates and still no fix... i also have combed through the manual to no avail - i found the part about pressing the knob for a few seconds to switch to "stereo" mode, however when i tried that out there still was no change on my RME.

help asap please!

It seems the encoder is simply defective and no longer reacts to being pushed - it recently happened to my FF400, too... sad
The unit needs a (warranty) repair.

I just had the same problem but managed to get it working again on my RME-400.
I pulled the rotary knob toward me and it came off half way then I pushed it back on and now working again....

RME FF400 (v3.047)

Right - just pull the knob out a bit - seems to be a common problem...
