Topic: Using babyface as multi-channel DAC for room correction

Hi, Im interested in a babyface to use as follows; hooking a microphone up and recording a test tone played out the digital output into an external DAC / AMP. This is to measure the response of a room. Then I would like to playback 4 channels; two on a digital output an two on analog outputs. Can this all be done with the Babyface? Also is it bit perfect, that is no upsampling or SRC?

Thank you.

Wow! Excellent. The author of the room correction software (Acouarte) has also reccomended your products. I am surprised that USB 2.0 can support the bandwidth for 4 channels of 24/192 data streaming. I have a M-Audio Transit and it barely makes 2 ch 24/96. This is great news.

Also mind that the BF does have 4 separate analog outputs, 3/4 being unbalanced (phones), though.

Daniel, can I use the two channels of analog output and then drive an external DAC via the S/PDIF to get 4 channels? Can the headphone outs be used as single ended analog outs?
