Topic: How to expand HDSPe AIO to 10 analog out

hi there,

i  am considering many way ways how i can expand my HDSPe AIO card to add 8 analog out.
the ADAT is already in use, and adding 2 AO4S cards seem not be be supported.

do i have to replace my  HDSPe card ?

Is an upgrade to a RayDAT an option for you ?

yes, RayDAT is an option, as I still have one in my older machine.

So how would you do it? Can i connect 2 AO4S to the RayDAT?

You would connect external AD/DA converter via ADAT.

If I remember well ... you can add no more than two 4-Channel analog I/O modules ... to an AIO card ...

However, I suppose they can be two AO4S ...

AIO + 2 AO4S = 10 analog outputs

ah ... nope ... the two additional cards must be of different types ... one ins and one outs ...
