Good afternoon, after reinstalling the driver, the SW. and the app, it keeps giving me the error that I was commenting on yesterday, I don't know what else I can do, any ideas?
thank you so much.
You own the ADI-2 DAC FS? The app is not yet compatible to other ADI-2 models.

The text "Please make sure that ADI-2 firmware and driver are newest version ..." is not an error text - it is only an information text: The software "ADI-2 Remote" does not test this! See #41
Please restart the software with the necessary firmware again and report exactly which numbers (firmware) you see where on the dialogue screen.

Software version 55.
Driver version 0.9824.
Everything is correct?
The application gives me the following notice: Returned 887A0004 at 4.
Thank you so much.
After updating to firmware 55 and driver 0.9824, I still don't get a message about a bit perfect test passed... Just for information

Yes
ADI-2 DAC: "FPGA 80, DSP 55"
Driver: "V 0.9824 (06/22/2023) - Adds MIDI Port for ADI-2 Series Remote"
The application gives me the following notice: Returned 887A0004 at 4.
You probably have only problems with the driver of your graphics card *1). Try updating the graphics driver. I can't give you any further advice because I don't use Windows 11.

System Requirements
The app uses the same graphics engine as DigiCheck NG, so the same system requirements apply: Windows 10 or higher, and a graphics card that supports Direct3D 12.

I explained why you no longer get a text message in #41 (from bold text "Now all directories/files created ...").

I know what's going on, my graphic is a hd 4000, that's the problem. Thank you so much
Device | Horizontal Meter
- Change L/R Display Horizontal Meter
-> Display reset issue
Sorry this was meant to be over on the Windows side...
Potential bug maybe. When playing around with the meter settings, the DAC display for the meter section looks weird. Clicking on one of the physical buttons on the unit and then going back to the previous screen seems to fix the quark. Doesn't seem to effect playback or operation of the DAC in my limited time playing with it.
That is a known display reset issue which will require a firmware update, not changes in the program/app..

Only an addition to the same topic:
Media source: Bit Test (nn Bit passed with nn SR)
- Change L/R display Horizontal Meter
-> L/R display on ADI-2 is not changed
The values here https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=26952 are intended and will be fixed later in the EQ examples.
This settings are only for AKM chips?
Right. But they are good enough to improve all versions.
Excuse me, I update the file you included in your link.
My ADI-2 DAC FS display dead after the update. Is there any way to fix this situation?
What is the current firmware version of the DAC? Start the FUT again and read what it says.
New version of ADI-2 Remote with support for ADI-2 Pro and ADI-2/4 Pro is out:
https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=38074
Yay! Working great with my 2/4.

Thanks for your response, sir. After starting the FUT, it says
ADI-2 DAC(1) About
New revision USB 80, DSP 55
Current USB revision: 80
DSP firmware version: 55
Fallback USB revision: 78
I still could play music from ADI-2. I could even use the remote app on my PC(not on iPad) , but the screen is still dead.
Did you try to toggle AutoDark? Or is everything lit except the screen?
If you want to try an older firmware to see if that reverts the screen function you can download this one:

When I turn on the device, the screen lit a little bit (nothing displayed but brighter than turn off). And a really high pitch sound could be heard, after about 3 seconds, high pitch sound gone, and the screen become a little bit darker.
The white light around power button and main knob is normal. I tried the firmware you attached. The device is still the same situation.
I could use the remote to change the AutoDark(by pressing 3, all the light dissapered after seconds).
The unit now uses the firmware that it had from the factory. Which means the dark display is not caused by the firmware update but seems to be a hardware defect. Please contact service.

I'll contact the service on Monday. Thanks a lot for your help.

Thanks for your help, I contacted the shop and showed this conversation, then I got a new device today.
The new one works great with the software, thank you very much.
I have nothing meaningful to contribute, but I just wanted to say thank you for improving an already great product with such a well thought out software addition.
Hopefully you also read the later thread: https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=38074
Wird es auch eine Version der Software für GNU/Linux geben?
Nicht von uns. Da das Protokoll veröffentlicht ist steht es aber jedem offen das zu tun.
Is the remote software not available for the ADI-2 DAC FS?
I'd like to try it, but it's not included in the download pages.

There are good news:
or even simpler:
Disabling the HD Graphics 4000 in the device manager.
Any drawback when disabling the Intel 4500 contreller? e.g. video quality
Thanks
