Topic: Ableton through RME to Eloquencer

Hello,

I am trying to use Ableton as a master clock through the RME babyface pro fs with a midi interface going into a modular Eloquencer midi extension. I can't get it to work any tips/tutos idea I could follow (sorry I am a beginner)? Any help/advices appreciated !

Thanks for your help/feddback.

Re: Ableton through RME to Eloquencer

Thank you for the fast feedback ! Yes it is working ! Do you know how to make it so that when I adapt the bpm on Ableton it will also adapt it on the connected machine(s) ?

Re: Ableton through RME to Eloquencer

It should ! By sending sync it should include the Midi-clock ( =BpM) along with start stop message.
Check the Sequencer settings for having receiving midi-clock enabled.
Some devices have this in the menu, clock internal or external.

From page 12 :
Tempo
Choose between internal or external clock.
To select the clock source go to “Tempo”, press the encoder, choose “INT” “EXT” or “MIDI CLK” and press the encoder again. This parameter is stored globally in the global configuration not in the project file.

Select Midi-clk, not ext !

I used this user manual, hopefully it's the right one ?
