Topic: Ucx ll noise

good afternoon, tell me, has anyone encountered the cause of this level of noise? I can't hear it, but I can only see it on the mixer.

did the following:

1. Switched to other inputs of the audio interface (rme ucx ll), where I connect my other instruments - nothing

2. I took all the connections, wires, etc. and connected it to the same inputs where the noise level on my other instruments is fine - it didn’t help... nothing, as soon as I connect this synthesizer, noise immediately appears. in these channels.

3. I took and replaced two different power supplies, the original one - also nothing.

4. I connected it to another outlet and took it out, oops - no result.

5. I connected to babyface pro fs - the problem did not go away.

Does anyone know what I should watch? I will be grateful for your help! Thank you.

Re: Ucx ll noise

The instrument setting in the Totalmix inputs is not for synths, those are typically line level, what is your synth?
Switch off Inst in the input channel.

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: Ucx ll noise

Thanks for the answer! I forgot to mention this right away!, but My synthesizer is connected only to channel 7/8 and there is no high-impedance connection on it!

Hello

I guess you've connected your synth using 2 TS cables (Mono) to UCX II 7/8 inputs, right?

And is your synth also connected via USB? If yes, any difference when you disconnect the USB cable?

Re: Ucx ll noise

A Full Reset in TotalMix always helped solve any (user related) issues with my UCX-II.

Alternatively, save your proven configs into a workspace file and recover by loading it.

Additionally I recommend to save the workspace into one of the Quick Workspace Select Slots.
Best to use the Slot 1..8, because then you can recover those quickly using ALT-1 .. ALT-8.

Whenever I try something for somebody on forum, I can recover quick and reliably by pressing ALT-1 in TM FX.
