Topic: Loudness frequencies used?

Hello people,
There's a setting with loudness in the ADI-2 Pro FS-R which I quite like and would like to turn it into a permanent EQ setting.
Is it possible to reproduce the Loudness EQ frequencies and curves with either Bass/treble adjustments or the parametric EQ of the ADI-2 Pro FS-R?

This would allow me to have the same EQ on playback when I listen to mastered music (which is usually louder) and when I'm mixing (quieter source which requires me to turn up the playback volume).

This is not possible, because the gains are dynamic and change with volume setting.
An EQ setting would be static?

The curves are in the manual page 87.

What you can do is shift the loudness “Low Vol Ref” level according to your input signal.

I know the loudness is dynamic but if I knew the frequencies and Q used I could match the gain by ear to get a static eq.

Re: Loudness frequencies used?

OK, here we go:
PEQ replication of full Loudness boost, factory default settings.

You can use either the Bass and Treble EQ, or Band 1 and 5 of the PEQ with identical results, whatever is more convenient for your purpose.

BB or B1 G:+7 dB F:  70 Hz  Q: 0.7 Low Shelf
BT or B5 G:+7 dB F: 3.5 kHz Q: 0.7 High Shelf

For intermediate Loudness boost amounts, lower EQ G (gain) settings are necessary.
F and Q always stays the same.

Loudness factory default maxes out at +7 dB gain.

The Loudness correction decreases over a volume dial range of exactly 20 dB, starting with full boost at the “Low Vol Ref” level (default -30 dB), reaching no boost an -10 dB volume dial.

So,
at -30 dB volume dial = full Loudness boost
at -20 dB volume dial = half Loudness boost.
at -10 dB volume dial = no Loudness.

For volume dial values in-between the Loudness boost changes proportionally.
If you are using other than the default Loudness values, adapt EQ gains accordingly.

There is NO dynamic reaction to the incoming music signal level!
Loudness is a fixed EQ for any given volume dial dB level.
