Watch ADI-2’s analog input’s Horizontal Meter, set to “Input Pre FX” to determine a good level.
Well, I just connected the Osmose to my RME using TRS>XLR
My normal listening level is to have the RME volume set at -55dB
I set the analog in's reference level to AUTO
However, while I did get sound from the Osmose through my monitors, the volume, even with the Osmose Master volume all the way up, sounded low compared to when I normally listen to music through the RME and monitors
If I turned the volume knob of the RME up to -40dB, it was similar to the normal music listening level when I have the RME volume knob set to -55dB
So, what I tried next was putting a dual mic preamp in between the Osmose and the RME -- this helped with the Osmose volume level but would distort if I turned it up too much
As I am not an audio engineer, I am wondering if I am missing something
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you
