Topic: smux issue with HDSP 9652 and lucid 88192

I've set the lucid 88192 to smux on for both input and output.  Hooked up all four adat cables to adat inputs 1 and 2 on the 9652 card.  the hammerfall dsp settings show system clock slaved at 88.2, however adat sync shows ADAT 1 at 44.1.  Should they both be the same?

I'm using reaper, and getting the mismatched sample rate white noise.  the reaper project is at 88.2.

what am I missing?

thanks

SMUX errors do not produce white noise, they are nearly inaudible. Your system seems not to work at all. What happens at standard sample rate?

hi,
44.1 works fine.

If working at 88.2, what settings should I have for the DSP settings menu?

thanks

So if adat1 synce only does 44.1/48K, and I want to run an 88.2K session, do I need to sync via wordclock to achieve a sync at 88.2K?  Does adat sync not work for the higher sample rates?

Re: smux issue with HDSP 9652 and lucid 88192

OK, so I got a word clock cable and synced the 9562 to the lucid.  Now it works.  I guess you can't use adat sync for smux?

Anyways, another question.  I want to add another card, as I need another 4 channels of smux to add to the 12 in the 9652.  I was looking at the 9636 as that will add the 4 channels.

a few questions:
when installing the card, will it be recognized by the already installed RME driver?  the 9652 and 9636 driver are the same?

And for sync - will it automatically slave to the word clock in of the 9652?  If not, how to I slave the 9636 to the 9652?
thanks!

Re: smux issue with HDSP 9652 and lucid 88192

ADAT will certainly work for SMUX... There must have been some kind of incorrect operation.
The old non-HDSP 9636 uses a different ASIO driver, so  they won't work together in Cubase etc.

what about the non hdsp 9652?  Can that work with the current hdsp 9652?

thanks
