currently use on my Multiface II headphones AKG K240 MkII which has only rated impedance of 55ohm, 200mW maximum input and 104dB / V sensitivity. Despite the favorable characteristics for use with the integrated amplifier in the MF II, the volume is a little low.

Reading on various forums I learned that not only is the impedance of the headphone to define the volume but the efficiency per milliwatt. For this reason I decided to buy a headset Beyerdinamic 250 ohms.
I am undecided between the DT770 Pro and DT880 Pro

I would get an improvement? Or is it better to use a headphone amplifier?
