Topic: AO4S-192 AIO not showing up in Totalmix after connection to HDSP 9632

Hi,

I need some help here. I just received a brand new AO4S-192 AIO (I bought it from a private person, but the box was wrapped in plastic and the card clearly never used). I inserted it in my pc, connected the flat cable to my HDSP 9632 PCI (not PCIe).

After rebooting, I still have only two analogue outs in Totalmix. The same applies to Cubase.

I am on Win 10x64. I use the version 4.12 RME driver.

Do I have to do some kind of setup in Totalmix to activate the four outs on the AO4S?

Please help me out.

OK, so after I restarted the computer, the four new outputs showed up everywhere. Awesome! I don't know if I am only imagining this, but running my headphone amp from the AO4S seems to sound better than before, when I had the amp connected to the headphone output of the HDSP 9632...

Anyway, as long as the outputs keep showing up, I am one happy camper!

Hm, I guess I need some help, since this is what shows up in Totalmix when playing a wavfile in Windows.

I have no Adat equipment at all. The physical connection is from Analogue 1 and 2 (the outs of the HDSP 9632), yet Totalmix seems to believe it is playing the sound and outputting it through ADAT 5/6...

I would at least need some clarification here, please...

By this you will learn required basics which will be of good help for any further routing demand.
