Topic: Latest Windows driver failing to install for me on Fireface UCX

I have a Fireface UCX, on a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit PC.

I've never had an RME driver fail to install before in the past 7 years, but this one won't!

"Cannot complete the Device Driver Installation Wizard" says the dialog, "See Status column for more details..."  >

RME Fireface USB (11/16/2018 1.1.66.0)   Status: Install failed".

How extremely detailed smile

Any suggestions?

The details are in the DPINST.LOG file found in Windows\.

Well, the latest driver still is failing to install for me hmm

In 7 years I have installed every driver update without problems, apart from these last two!

I tried everything (disabled antivirus, run the installer as administrator, unistalled previous driver).

yes, in my case, I tried running the installed with admin privileges too.

I am on Windows 10 Pro 64bit (on an Intel motherboard, despite what my logs claim about 'AMD64')

Yes, even my log says "AMD64" but actually I'm running an Intel based system (I7-6700K on Asus H170 Pro). smile

AMD64 is the identifier for a 64-bit CPUs, that is because AMD came first in releasing 64-bit X86 compatible CPUs.
