Topic: Babyface - no stereo on playback

Hello everybody,

I‘m a happy user of the the babyface. 2 days ago I recognized that playback on my daw didn‘t work anymore. Also simple playback of an mp3 file didn‘t work. After disconnecting and reconnecting the babyface from the usb ports the audio works again. Unfortunately everything now plays in mono. This concerns songs on daw and also mp3 files or youtube videos. I tried a full reset via totalmix but nothing changed. Also uninstall and reinstall of the driver didn’t work. The last thing I tried was to update the firmware with no success. So now I need advice on what else I could do. I just hope it‘s not a hardware defect.

Setup: lenovo laptop, windows 10, babyface, reaper

Every hint is much appreciated.

Which driver version is installed here? Does the issue affect both speakers and phones? Are things in mono in the software playback section of Totalmix also?

- Driver is 1.168
- Firmware ist rev. 225
- Totalmix Fx 1.61

Just discovered that AN 1/2 plays in stereo. So my problem concerns both headphone outputs PH 3/4.

- The AN1/2 are connected with a pair of monitors (Dynaudio BM5 mk3)
- Phone 3/4 is connected to a headphone (Bayerdynamic DT 770)

AN1/2 works fine.

Problem is at phone 3/4 which sends just in mono.

Remarkable was an outtage of audio one day before I recognized that it‘s now only in mono. Until that time I was listening just via headphone.

I just installed Anydesk. There was an error message:

But Anydesk seems to work. It could be started and is active now. How can we proceed? Appointment?
